Tortue was inspired by none other than the turtle shell; hence the name Tortue.  Our porcelain is carefully handcrafted in North Carolina.  Each piece contains slight variations due to the hand-mixed clay body. *Please note that if you're getting more than one, we will do our best to match them perfectly.  The perfect glow that casts through both sides is what we wanted to achieve here. 

All images shown with a 'glow' inside are with the light on.  These are a solid/same color throughout and the inside of the scones is not a different finish.
